Kojie Acid (Kojic Acid) - the power agent against sallow skin.
Do you know that? Tired skin all over the place pale gray veil and pigmentation. Not a nice memory of the summer: As soon as the skin comes into contact with a lot of solar radiation, the body boosts its melanin production. The body's own skin pigment protects against sunburn by converting the rays into heat. Actually clever, but if too much melanin is formed, the brownish discoloration occurs on the skin. This can also lead to the formation of spots (hyperpigmentation). What then works effectively: Creams and serums with the power ingredient Kojic Acid. The still relatively unknown kojic acid also gives you the perfect glow.
KOJIC ACID: HOW DOES IT WORK IN SKIN CARE?
The keyword acid always doesn't sound very trustworthy. Acids have proven themselves in skin care for years: hyaluronic acid as a moisture booster. AHA acid - such as glycolic acid or lactic acid - for a radiant, visibly refined complexion. Or the mandelic acid, which is well tolerated by sensitive skin types, which also ensures beautifully even skin. Kojic acid is assigned to the group of AHA acids. It is a natural ingredient that is created as a by-product of the fermentation process of rice (e.g. for the production of Japanese rice wine). What makes kojic acid so special is its strong lightening effect: it inhibits the body's own enzyme tyrosinase, which is responsible for the synthesis of melanin and thus for the formation of pigment spots. In this way, not only do old, unsightly discolorations fade, but no new ones can appear.
In addition, kojic acid literally triggers the skin: It effectively boosts the body's own cell production and thus accelerates the skin renewal process. Dry, sallow spots disappear in no time and the complexion looks fresher, firmer and more even. Another plus: After a treatment with the AHA acid, all care ingredients are better absorbed afterwards.
SKIN CARE: HOW TO USE KOJIC ACID CORRECTLY
Kojic acid is often found in creams and serums in combination with other AHA acids. If you apply it in the morning and in the evening after cleansing, the skin gets a radiant luminosity. However, it is important that you apply UV protection at the same time - even in gray winter. Very sensitive skin types should approach the acid slowly. It is best to test it once or twice a week and see whether the skin tolerates it well.
